KeyCDN Launches New POP in Denver
We're excited to announce that we've launched one more point of presence (POP) in North America. After launching 5 new POPs on 4 different continents earlier this year, our newest POP has been launched in Denver! It's part of our anycast network in the United States and will lower latency in Colorado and nearby states. The new POP is in production and has been automatically added to all existing Zones.
POP in Denver becomes our 9th POP in the US
With the introduction of a POP in Denver, our presence in the US grows even stronger. So far, reqeusts from these regions were either routed to Dallas, Chicago, or the West Coast. Having a new POP in Colorado means lower latency for several states.
How to check if content is delivered from Denver
Each POP adds the HTTP response header X-Edge-Location to all assets delivered via KeyCDN. In this case, the Denver POP's identifier is usde. The first two letters stand for the country TLD, while the 3rd and 4th letters are for the city. You can quickly check the response headers using Chrome DevTools, a speed test tool, or a simple curl command like the one below:
