Heroku CDN Integration
Updated on October 4, 2018
KeyCDN is a versatile CDN that works seamlessly with PaaS providers like Heroku. Heroku does not offer a CDN as part of their service. KeyCDN can easily be added in front of Heroku without the need of an extra Heroku addon.
Add KeyCDN in front of your web dyno
Any static HTTP traffic can be cached by KeyCDN with a web dyno configured as an origin server. Take advantage of your programming language or content management system that your using within Heroku.
- Frameworks like Ruby: Configure your Asset Host in order to deliver static traffic from KeyCDN
- Content management systems like WordPress, Drupal, or Joomla are fully supported and the integration only takes a few steps.
The combination of Heroku and KeyCDN will improve performance significantly since the content is cached all over the world by KeyCDN. Shared SSL or Custom SSL can also be added in the KeyCDN dashboard at no extra cost.
