HostGator CDN Integration

KeyCDN can be added to a hosting solution offered by HostGator. KeyCDN offers some significant advantages over the CDN solution of HostGator.

Adding KeyCDN to your HostGator hosting

A normal KeyCDN Pull Zone can be added to any HostGator hosting, it doesn't require a special setup and the process only takes a couple of minutes. Any HTTP header sent from HostGator will be honored by KeyCDN (if not overwritten in the KeyCDN dashboard). KeyCDN also supports Shared SSL or Custom SSL that can be added to any Zone. The use of HTTPS is recommended for regular websites because Google classifies HTTPS as a ranking signal. With KeyCDN there is no monthly fixed cost and Custom SSL or raw logs come for free.

If traffic to the HostGator server needs to be reduced, the Origin Shield can be enabled and the requests to the HostGator server will significantly be lower since some of the KeyCDN POPs will fetch the content from other POPs.
